Small-molecule NNMT inhibition
5-Amino-1MQ, also known as 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium, is a synthetic small molecule studied as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Although it is frequently grouped with research peptides in product catalogs and search results, 5-Amino-1MQ is not a peptide.
Published research has investigated NNMT inhibition in biochemical assays, cultured cells and animal models related to cellular metabolism and skeletal-muscle biology. The evidence for 5-Amino-1MQ itself remains preclinical, so findings from these experimental models should not be interpreted as established human effects.
02 / Research profile
NNMT is an enzyme that participates in nicotinamide metabolism. Early medicinal-chemistry research identified quinolinium compounds, including 5-Amino-1MQ, as small-molecule NNMT inhibitors and investigated how their structures interact with the enzyme's substrate-binding site.
Subsequent research evaluated 5-Amino-1MQ in cultured adipocytes and diet-induced-obesity mouse models, where NNMT inhibition was associated with changes in metabolic endpoints. Separate studies investigated NNMT inhibition in aged skeletal-muscle models, including muscle stem-cell activity, regeneration and muscle function.
These findings come from laboratory and animal models. They do not establish human efficacy, safety or an approved therapeutic use for 5-Amino-1MQ.

Reading the evidence
The cited findings describe the compound in the experimental systems used. Cellular, biochemical and animal results should be interpreted according to their model, methods and endpoints; they do not establish the performance of a GLPZone lot.

Variant amounts are nominal catalog quantities. They are not instructions for use.
HPLC separates components under a defined method. Read the reported percentage alongside the chromatogram, wavelength, integration method, and scope of the test.
Mass spectrometry provides molecular-mass evidence. Identity and chromatographic purity answer different questions; one cannot stand in for the other.
Connect the product name, variant, lot identifier, report date, and issuing laboratory. A report is useful only when its sample can be linked to the material being reviewed.
Every 5-Amino-1MQ lot is analyzed by Nordicstar Analytical Sciences for identity, content, and purity by HPLC with LC-MS confirmation. Each certificate carries a report number and verification key that can be checked at nordicstarlabs.com/verify. Research references below describe published science, not a certificate for a vial.

05 / Storage & handling
Avoid unnecessary temperature cycling and keep the vial tightly closed while in storage.
For prepared laboratory solutions, researchers should use a validated protocol appropriate to the solvent, concentration and experimental design.
