Acetyl octapeptide-3 & SNARE-associated research
SNAP-8, commonly identified as acetyl octapeptide-3, is a synthetic octapeptide composed of eight amino-acid residues. Its modified sequence is Ac-EEMQRRAD-NH₂ , with an acetylated N-terminus and amidated C-terminus.
The peptide is closely related in sequence to acetyl hexapeptide-8, commonly known as Argireline, but the two are distinct compounds. SNAP-8 extends the shared EEMQRR sequence with alanine and aspartic acid residues.
Direct peer-reviewed research isolating SNAP-8 itself is limited. Related SNAP-25-derived peptides and SNARE-complex biology have been investigated in experimental systems, but findings from those studies should not automatically be attributed to SNAP-8.
It is not a finished cosmetic product and is not intended for human use.
02 / Research profile
SNARE proteins form part of the molecular machinery involved in membrane fusion and regulated exocytosis, with SNAP-25 serving as one component of the SNARE complex. Peptides derived from SNAP-25 sequences have been studied experimentally for their effects on SNARE-complex formation and exocytosis.
SNAP-8 is described in the scientific and cosmeceutical literature as an acetylated octapeptide related to this research concept. However, direct independent mechanistic evidence isolating SNAP-8 itself is limited. Some mechanistic claims associated with SNAP-8 are based on related SNAP-25-derived peptides or ingredient-manufacturer data rather than experiments performed directly on SNAP-8.
For that reason, SNARE-associated signaling is best presented as an area of research relevant to SNAP-8 rather than as an established biological effect of GLPZone material.
SNAP-25 is part of the SNARE machinery involved in regulated exocytosis and membrane fusion. Studies of that machinery provide context for investigating peptide sequences derived from SNAP-25.
SNAP-8 contains Ac-EEMQRRAD-NH₂. The related acetyl hexapeptide-8 sequence is Ac-EEMQRR-NH₂. Adding alanine and aspartic acid produces a distinct molecule; findings for the shorter peptide are not direct SNAP-8 evidence.
Reading the evidence
Direct peer-reviewed evidence isolating acetyl octapeptide-3 is limited. Much of the mechanistic context surrounding SNAP-8 comes from research on SNAP-25, SNARE-complex biology and related SNAP-25-derived peptides rather than experiments performed directly with SNAP-8 itself. SNAP-25 is a component of the SNARE machinery involved in regulated membrane fusion and exocytosis. Laboratory studies using cell-based and animal-derived experimental systems have examined how SNAP-25 structure and SNARE-complex assembly influence these processes. These studies provide useful mechanistic background for understanding why SNAP-25-derived peptides are investigated, but they should not be presented as direct evidence that SNAP-8 produces a particular biological or cosmetic outcome. Evidence limitation: Research involving related SNAP-25 sequences, SNARE proteins or multi-ingredient formulations should not automatically be attributed to acetyl octapeptide-3 itself.

HPLC separates components under a defined method. Read the reported percentage alongside the chromatogram, wavelength, integration method, and scope of the test.
Mass spectrometry provides molecular-mass evidence. Identity and chromatographic purity answer different questions; one cannot stand in for the other.
Connect the product name, variant, lot identifier, report date, and issuing laboratory. A report is useful only when its sample can be linked to the material being reviewed.
Every SNAP-8 lot is analyzed by Nordicstar Analytical Sciences for identity, content, and purity by HPLC with LC-MS confirmation. 05 / Storage & handling
Keep sealed research material protected from moisture, unnecessary light and temperature fluctuations. Use the storage conditions documented for the specific compound, formulation and lot.
Solution stability depends on solvent, concentration, container and experimental conditions. Use a validated laboratory protocol; a universal post-reconstitution shelf life is not established by the literature summaries.

Yes. SNAP-8 is commonly used as a name for the eight-residue peptide acetyl octapeptide-3 represented by the modified sequence Ac-EEMQRRAD-NH₂ .
No. SNAP-8 and Argireline are related but distinct peptides. SNAP-8 contains eight amino-acid residues with the sequence Ac-EEMQRRAD-NH₂ , while Argireline, or acetyl hexapeptide-8, contains the shorter Ac-EEMQRR-NH₂ sequence.
